Dear Mom,
Words will never begin to describe the amount of love and appreciation I have for you. You are the most important woman in my life and that will never change. I feel blessed every day that God made you my mom.
I know I don’t say it enough but THANK YOU for everything! I know I would not be the woman I am today if it were not for you. I want to thank you for giving me the best life I could have ever asked for. Thank you for continually filling my life with unconditional love, contagious laughter, and wonderful memories. Thank you for always believing in me and for being my biggest cheerleader. Thank you for pushing me to reach for the stars and for never making me feel like there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do. Thank you for making me feel safe and for comforting me when life gets tough. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for me over the years and for always putting me first.
Not only have you been an amazing mother, but you have been an exemplary role model in my life. You are a pillar of resilience and have shown me what it is to be a strong and independent woman. I’ve watched as you have handled your struggles and they have taught me how to handle mine. You have shown me what it is to be kind, compassionate, empathetic, generous, and caring in everything that you do. You are an amazing mom, wife, sister, aunt, and friend and I am proud to be your daughter. Your undying want to help others is inspirational. You do so many amazing things that most people don’t even know about. You have shown me that real beauty comes from within. I know that you have taught me so much and I know you have more to teach me still.
As I have traveled through life, I have come to realize that our relationship is rare. You have been my rock these past 23 years and have grown to be my best friend. You have always loved me for who I am, quirks and all. You are the one I confide in and want to share everything with. You are a great listener and give the best advice. I can always count on you to give me your honest opinion, even if I don’t want to hear it. I swear there are times you know me better than I know myself. You are my best friend because no matter what has happened in my life, you have always been there for me. You are the person I want to call first when something great happens and are the shoulder I want to cry on when they don’t.
I don't think I will ever be able to fully express just how much you mean to me but my hope is that as you are reading this, your heart is filled with love and you realize how much you are appreciated. I also hope that one day, I will be half the woman and mother that you are. I want my daughter to look up to me the way I look up to you.
